At Philyrides we work exclusively with proponents of ethical horsemanship, correct biomechanics and holistic approach to equine management.

All our team members, be it a dressage rider or a show jumper, have an incredible feel for horses and know how to unlock their potential to the fullest.
Milly Dove
Dressage
Milly is our main rider. She is widely experienced in lots of types of horses with both mechanical and behavioural issues. Milly has a biomechanics-focused, kind yet effective approach: all of her rides, regardless of their breeding and the presence or absence of a natural talent eventually develop a very good balance and collection and an extremely good sit.
"I believe every horse can," Milly emphasises the importance of speaking the right language and breaking tasks down for guiding horses towards reaching their full potential in sport. Horses, without deeper problems (that too with communication and trust can be improved) she strongly believes try their best with what they are presented. Milly loves seeing horses learn and develop understanding in the human world. She has a huge passion for the art of higher dressage movements, the mechanics she loves to teach the horses and is always learning more about. She loves her young horses in particular: "They teach me so much. Each horse is an exiting journey".
With her main dancing partner Jaguar V.O.D. Milly aims towards international Grand Prix.

Lana Zavada
Dressage & Show Jumping
Lana is most known for her remarkable journey of transforming a rescue horse into an international competitor. She believes in the magic of connection: “Every horse is special and you just need to find the right keys to open them up”. The art of our sport is not in obedience but in a partnership, so she encourages her horses to “speak”: ask questions, express their emotions and give her suggestions.
Her training philosophy is simple - mix it up. Variety builds strong horses: dressage horses should have jumping in their routine, jumping horses should be able to do pirouettes to win speed classes, and both of them need to have time to be horses.
She views raising a successful sport horse as a puzzle, where riding skill is just one of the pieces. To create the whole picture it takes also knowledge in equine psychology, nutrition, trimming, bodywork, liberty work, veterinary care and prevention, as well as it takes an enormous team effort and a pinch of good luck to find your people.
Currently Lana's primary focus is fostering the professional development of Milly Dove, however she remains open to exploring new opportunities and ideas as a rider. For all enquiries please contact:
